5 artist guides
Rakhi · Aipan Art Rakhi
First priority: Start with Kumaon properties and individual gift buyers.
Property / business approach
The Kumaon / Mary Budden Estate. A small Aipan display with a card explaining the tradition, or a paid guest workshop if Rakhi agrees. Ask the GM or guest-experience team via the official contact route.
Individual buyers
₹2,000 Laxmi or Ganesh Pith is an approachable first enquiry. Ask for the complete delivered price.
Before pitching or ordering
Confirm size units, material, framing, bulk capacity and workshop fees.
First priority: Start with one premium commission brief, then art advisors.
Property / business approach
Rakkh / Taj Rishikesh. Propose one spiritual or Himalayan statement piece for a specific room. Send a wall mock-up only after dimensions and permission are agreed. Ask for GM, design or procurement.
Individual buyers
Choose the subject and a comfortable budget first; ask the studio for an available original or print in that range.
Before pitching or ordering
Confirm original versus print, current stock, dimensions, installation and framing. Do not promise audience reach or a workshop.
First priority: Start with a clearly scoped illustration or print enquiry.
Property / business approach
The Art Hub / design-led boutique stays. Pitch a small coordinated illustration series. Agree physical production separately from digital creation, including print size and commercial display rights.
Individual buyers
Ask whether you receive a digital file, print or original. Specify personal use and printing rights before paying.
Before pitching or ordering
Confirm which media and services she currently offers. Existing illustrative price bands are not a quote.
First priority: Complete the portfolio first, then approach local cafés/designers.
Property / business approach
Local Maharashtra café owners / The Art Hub. Show the actual portrait and propose one paid display or a time-limited consignment with a written inventory. Ask the owner or interior designer.
Individual buyers
Ask for recent close-ups and a process photo/video of the listed work; availability and price are unconfirmed.
Before pitching or ordering
Only one work is currently listed. Get 3–6 clear works, exact medium, dimensions, prices and delivery terms before a larger pitch.
First priority: Collect artwork photos first; then approach nearby Varanasi stays and home buyers.
Property / business approach
Varanasi homestay owners / The Kumaon (later-stage prospect). Propose a small landscape series in a consistent palette. Show finished examples before suggesting multiple guest-room paintings. Ask the owner or designer.
Individual buyers
Send your preferred landscape, wall size and deadline. Ask for relevant examples before agreeing a custom order.
Before pitching or ordering
Photo portfolio, sizes, lead time and price list are still needed. A match is based on her submitted bio, not inspected artwork.
These organisations have not expressed buying interest. Source pages checked 28 October 2026; roles below are the teams to request, not named or verified decision-makers. Individual buyer categories above are suggested audiences, not a list of private people.
The Kumaon · Kasar Devi
A mountain retreat with suites, a library and regional cultural experiences.
Ask the published reservations/contact team to route your proposal to the GM or person responsible for interiors and experiences.
Get the portfolio ready. Prepare 3–6 actual artwork photos, artist bio, medium, original/print/digital format, dimensions and units, delivered prices, lead time and proof of authorship. Get rights to display each photo.
Choose one relevant use. A reception piece, two guest-room landscapes, a devotional home painting or a gift order. Check the wall, light, humidity, framing and maintenance needs.
Contact the right person. Property: owner/GM, designer or procurement for purchases; guest-experience manager for workshops. Gallery: curator/advisor. Home buyer: the artist directly through their profile. Ask permission before sending large attachments.
Send a short proposal. “I’m [name], an artist working in [style]. I suggest [specific piece/use] for [space]. Here are three examples and prices. May I speak with the person responsible for art or interiors?” Only claim affiliations you actually have.
Agree everything in writing. Scope, item count, size, materials, reproduction rights, framing, delivery, installation, cancellations, returns and payment milestones. For consignment, also record inventory, commission, damage responsibility and payout dates.
Follow up once. After 5–7 working days, send one polite follow-up. Record the reply; stop if declined. Do not mark a prospect as a partner until both sides agree.
