RoamWise ("we", "our") is built by Mohit Pandey in Almora, India. This policy explains what we collect, how ads and cookies work, and the choices you have — including specific rights for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
RoamWise runs primarily on your device. Searches, XP, saved lists, profile fields and journey logs are stored in your browser's local storage on your device only. If you create an account, we store via Google Firebase: your email address, display name, optional profile details you choose to enter (such as a WhatsApp number or travel preferences), and your Pro membership status. We do not sell your personal data. Weather uses approximate IP-based location, fetched transiently to answer your request and never stored. RoamWise also records anonymous daily totals for product events such as visits, searches, and Kasar festival enquiry-link taps; these counters do not include an email, account ID, precise location, or the city entered into the optional festival route field. A city entered there is added to the Ailon Tusk request on your device and is not retained as an analytics value. Milan Heights WhatsApp enquiries are guest-initiated and go directly to the hotel with a prefilled RoamWise referral message. RoamWise counts anonymous WhatsApp-link taps, not message contents, guest identity, or completed bookings.

Payments are processed by UPI apps, Razorpay, Gumroad or other listed payment gateway providers; we never receive or store your card, UPI or bank credentials — only a payment or license reference used to activate Pro. See pricing and the cancellation & refund policy.
We rely on: Google AdSense (advertising); Google Firebase (authentication and database); Wikipedia and Openverse (destination information and photos); Open-Meteo (weather and geocoding); OpenStreetMap and CARTO (map imagery); YouTube (embedded videos). Each processes only the data needed to fulfil your request, under its own privacy policy.
Trail Mesh is optional and remains off until you review its disclosure, grant Android permissions and tap to start. It uses Google Play services Nearby Connections, Bluetooth and nearby Wi-Fi to communicate with verified nearby RoamWise devices. Your chosen trail display name is advertised locally while Trail Mesh runs. Text, team instructions, emergency alerts, voice notes and files you deliberately select are transferred device-to-device; RoamWise does not upload or retain those transfers on its servers. Recipients may retain or share content they receive.
If you create a field role, Trail Mesh stores your trail alias, role, expedition label, team code, voluntary check-ins, checkpoints, nearby roster state and incident notes locally on that phone. A team code is a grouping label, not a password. This information is shared only with devices you compare pairing digits with and accept; incident records stay local unless an authorised operator deliberately exports them. You can erase the local expedition data from the Trail Mesh privacy controls. Do not enter government IDs, phone numbers, medical diagnoses or unnecessary personal details.
Selected operator-trial and paid-operator eligibility is stored in your RoamWise account so the app can enforce the approved organisation and expiry. Users cannot grant or extend this access themselves. RoamWise does not use Trail Mesh for public traveller matching, follower feeds, contact-book uploads, advertising profiles or sale of field data.
The microphone is accessed only while you actively record a Pro voice note. Precise location is requested only when you choose to attach it to a Trail Mesh SOS. The Android file picker supplies only the file you select; RoamWise does not scan your media library. If a paid user explicitly enables multi-hop relay, lightweight messages and alerts may be forwarded through up to three verified devices; media and voice files are not relayed. You can stop discovery and advertising at any time. Trail Mesh is not satellite communication, does not guarantee delivery and does not replace local emergency services.
Google states that its Nearby SDK collects discovery/connection performance metrics and device model, country, build version and app package name to improve the API. Users control this through Android's Settings > Google > Usage & diagnostics setting. Google handles this information under its privacy terms.
RoamWise is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Delete your account anytime in-app: More → account → Delete my account, or see our account deletion page. Deletion removes your profile and cloud data permanently.

RoamWise offers a range of pricing options — one-time unlocks, monthly and yearly subscriptions, long-term passes, and short-term passes — and these prices, tiers, and features may change at any time to reflect evolving business and market circumstances. If you are on an active paid subscription or pass when a price changes, your current term will be honored at the price you paid; any change applies to renewals and new purchases going forward, not retroactively to time you've already paid for. Founding-member or limited-time offers (such as an early lifetime price) are exactly that — limited-time, and their availability may end without individual notice once their stated conditions (a user cap, a time window, or both) are reached.
